Shailene Woodley, star of The Fault in Our Stars, Divergent (and let’s not forget five years of The Secret Life of the American Teenager) is a strange quote machine. She believes in getting sun on your vagina. She often doesn’t own a cell phone. But behind her hippie-ways, she’s often making a lot of sense. In an interview with Glamour UK, after discussing her willingness to do nude scenes, she spoke about her thoughts on American attitudes toward sexuality verse European, saying, “Part of the reason I love Europe is that sexuality is no big deal there. You go to a topless beach and the dudes aren’t checking out your tits, because they’re just boobs. [In America] sex is something that’s not talked about – yet it’s in our faces more than anything else.” Maybe Woodley will bring topless beaches to American shores?
