There’s a new Taylor Swift cover every day (or at least it seems that way). If you like “Blank Space” but thinks it’s severely lacking in the indie cred department, this is the version you don’t have to be embarrassed about listening to. Stephen Malkmus, frontman and guitarist for the band Pavement, took on your favorite Taylor Swift song. It was for a children’s show, and word on the street is that his daughter’s a fan, which makes it make a little more sense (but it’s still a confusing choice, albeit an amazing one). If he’s taking requests from people other than his daughter, “Shake It Off” should definitely be his next cover.
