Huge, breaking news, you guys. Big news. The biggest! Nikki Reed (i.e. that girl from Thirteen who wasn’t Even Rachel Wood) and Ian Somerhalder (your favorite pair of eyebrows from The Vampire Diaries) are about to tie the knot. Do you hear that? It’s the sound of Nina Dobrev crying. While you were busy watching Ian Somerhalder smolder, he was giving Nikki Reed (she was also a vampire in Twilight) an engagement ring. It’s the kind of ring your Facebook friends from high school Instagram and you have to squint to see.
Rumor has it that Nina Dobrev has been beyond devastated with Somerhalder’s new relationship (which is one of the reasons they’ve had less screen time this season). If you’ve ever Googled The Vampire Diaries (not saying we have, obviously), than it’s more than likely you’ve come across images of Elana, Damon, and Stefan locked in an embrace… so why can’t Nina be their third? Just saying.
Sure, Elena might have about as much personality as a wet blanket (okay, a drowned one), but that doesn’t mean that they’re not destined to end up together. The only time she’s even vaguely interesting is when they have scenes together, and if they continue their hatred she’s going to end up in Stefan’s arms (so boring, I can’t). Plus, Nikki’s ring is nothing to write home about (and she’s currently wearing it on the wrong finger…), so maybe this engagement isn’t even real? Only time will tell, but until then I’ll be binge watching the vamps if you need me.
