Because there are only so many times you can re-watch A Muppet Christmas Carol, it can be nice to mix up your holiday entertainment with a few Christmas-y books. Page though these with a candy cane and a mug of hot chocolate and almost being trampled on black Friday will all seem like just a bad dream.
1. My True Love Gave to Me Edited By Stephanie Perkins
Twelve YA authors tackle the holiday season with romance and fantasy, with locations ranging from New York City to The North Pole. While not all the stories have a happy ending, this anthology will leave you in a definite Christmas spirit.
2. Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares By Rachel Cohn and David Levithan

A YA author you (and your mom, and you great uncle) are probably familiar with collaborated with two YA authors you should definitely get to know to create three connected yet stand alone stories in this holiday collection.
4. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before By Jenny Han
While Han’s story of a girl whose very secret love letters end up in the hands of their subjects spans an entire first semester, a lot of the drama comes to a head at the family holiday party.
5. Marley’s Ghost By David Levithan
Though Levithan’s take on Dickens takes place during Valentine’s Day, it’s an unwritten rule of the holiday’s that an adaptation of A Christmas Carol is, by default, a Christmas book.
6. Jingle Boy By Kieran Scott
A tale of a teenage Christmas cheerleader quickly becoming a young Scrooge is the classic will they or won’t they regain their Christmas spirit tale.
