If you ever mix up who said a famous quote (air on the side of caution, it probably wasn’t Einstein or Gandhi) don’t feel bad-at least you probably have a solid grip on your own quotes. YA author John Green has become a veritable Tumblr quote factory after teens started pulling words of wisdom from The Fault in Our Stars, but one of his most popular quotes came from Paper Towns-“I’m in love with cities I’ve never been to and people I’ve never met.” Unfortunately, that quote isn’t actually in Paper Towns. As Green explained in his latest vlogbrothers, he recently discovered the quote was actually written by a teen on Tumblr named Melody. The actual author will be getting the royalties from the poster with the quote Green was selling through DFTBA.com, and I’m guessing all in all this will be the best experience with a thief she’ll ever have.
