The new app ScreenPop is here to help. It allows Android users to send a picture with texts to their friends’ phones…on their lock screens. AKA there are no more excuses like “I didn’t see your message” or “I haven’t checked that app today.” The images sent to your friends last only until the user unlocks their phone, so it’s like SnapChat taken to a new level.
The app is being launched by Locket, the company that makes sure your lock screen is always looking great, and has notable investors including Tyra Banks. Locket’s co-founder and CEO Yunha Kim came up with the idea for ScreenPop when she noticed teens were getting overwhelmed by having so many different ways to communicate with their friends. “Imagine every time you check your phone, you are seeing notes and photos from your friends right there on the lock screen. As long as you are using the phone, you can’t miss it,” she says.
