What does Katy Perry do after doing a spectacular performance at the Super Bowl halftime show; that was seen by over 113 million people?

She gets inked of course!

Katy made sure not to waste anytime after her performance to celebrate her show by getting a “XLIX” – aka Super Bowl 49 – as a tattoo on her right ring finger.

After performing a much talked about medley of several of Katy’s hit songs including “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” “Roar,” and “I Kissed a Girl.” And including killer cameos by Missy Elliot and Lenny Kravitz, were some of the artists mash-up that she performed. Perry had enlisted the tattoo artist clearly while she was still dressed from the halftime show.

“I thought it would be appropriate to draw blood tonight” Katy stated on one of her instagram photos. In the image, with her hair in a slicked-back high pony and a full face of makeup still on, and in a over sized leopard print faux fur coat with a contrasting pink collar, Katy sits with her finger in the hands of her hard-at-work tattoo artist.

After the surprising way she spent the hours after the New England Patriots narrowly defeated the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX, The “Roar” singer, 30, shared her photos via instagram, on Sunday Feb, 1. Clearly she wanted to remember this important moment in her life forever.

The Super Bowl tribute resides adjacent to an earlier finger tattoo Perry had gotten. Just this past fall, the “Dark Horse” performer got a small tattoo of Hello Kitty, compete with whiskers and a small red bow, on her middle finger.

Katy also has other tattoos which include a script reading “Jesus” on her wrist (to represent her christian upbringing), a phrase in Sanskrit on the inside of her arm, and a small cartoon peppermint candy on her ankle.

Perry had been voicing out how excited she was to perform at the Super Bowl for months and the opportunity she would have. She tweeted out her gratitude ahead of the game on Sunday, writing, “Today is the day that the Lord has made! I will rejoice and be glad in it!” She also shared a photo of herself as a little girl and tweeted, “Today is for this girl. She had the dream, always believed in herself & her worth. Today she is the one smiling.”
