Katy Perry will be performing during the Super Bowl‘s half time show Sunday, which means that she’s gearing up for what could be the biggest performance of her career.
Perry talked to Billboard about how she’s prepping for the big game. She was interviewed while backstage for top-secret rehearsals, surrounded by dancers in colorful, tight costumes with matching socks and sneakers, while getting a massage for an injury and giving notes. She made sure to note, “It’s not because I’m a diva!” Despite the serious attention, Perry didn’t seem nervous, since she’s in the middle of her incredibly successful Prismatic tour.
She wasn’t only talking about how she’ll be ‘nervous’ for the show, she also shed some light on her relationship with John Mayer.
“There’s no handbook to love,” Katy admitted to the weekly. Her on-again, off again relationship with John Mayer, who she has dated twice previously, is now back on. The pair were spotted together earlier in January before a dinner date.
Katy also added, “In all my relationships, I’ve learned how I have to be more careful and that it’s not up for public consumption,” which most likely references her previous relationship with British comedian and host Russell Brand, whom she was married to from 2010 till 2012.
