Can. Not Wait.
Since we have to wait until next November for the final installment of The Hunger Games, the second installment of the Divergent series will keep Young Adult novel readers obsessed with the dystopian future happy.
The new sneak peek features many new scenes from the new movie Insurgent as well as commentary from the cast and creative team, including Shailene Woodley, Theo James, and author Veronica Roth. We see Tris, Four, Caleb and Peter on the run from Jeanine, testing of the Divergents, and even a look at Tris’s self-made makeover.
What is going to really exciting about the new film is that audiences will see some of the other factions. While Divergent is set mainly in the Dauntless and Abnegation factions, the sneak peek showed the characters in Amity, a peace-loving, farming group, and among the factionless.
There’s also some new faces. Octavia Spencer plays Amity’s leader, Johanna, while Evelyn, Four’s mother and one of the factionless, is played by a practically unrecognizable Naomi Watts.
The movie comes out March 20th. Until then, I’ll be watching this repeatedly.
