As a strong defender of Love Actually and all the Christmas cheer it bestows each year, even I can admit the cue card scene was ridiculous and just begging to be parodied. And over a decade after its release, SNL did create a send up that didn’t quite make it on air. Luckily you can watch their spoof online, and marvel at their attention to detail (the early 2000s off the shoulder sweater!) and the range of confessions the Andrew Lincoln stand-in makes. And be honest, if you were cast as the voice of the dog in Beethoven, you’d be pissed too.
